Bespoke MOD Product Development

With over 30 years experience in metalwork, we know a thing or two about welding. In our time as a company our product range has changed and adapted to suit market needs, but you never forget the things you have learned along the way.

When the Ministry of Defence contacted us to discuss manufacturing large lockers suitable for an army barracks, our instant response was “yes we can”. While not an item we had fabricated in the past, we currently work extensively with mesh as part of our fencing designs, and have prior experience in security products, so felt confident we could make something we could proudly put our name to.

Working alongside the barracks officers, our technical department helped complete the design for a locker that was robust, secure, and the perfect dimensions for a soldier’s kit. From the height of the rails, to the exact volume required in each compartment for the various pieces of military equipment; bergen, boots and all.

Each bespoke project comes with its own unique set of challenges, but through a collaborative effort we are able to meet the goals of our clients exactly how they envisioned them.

“Utter professionalism from the start to the finish with this project. You and your team have been very helpful throughout and I can honestly say the service has been outstanding. The quality of the product has met our every need. The kit and equipment that the modern day soldier holds is very substantial and what the cages have done is allowed for all of the kit to be housed centrally and securely in one place. The cages are also very robust and stand up to the test every time.” – Procurement Officer (anonymised for security reasons)

Like any good product, word of mouth spreads, and since our initial order, we have developed additional designs to suit the MOD’s needs at each base. We have now supplied products to barracks in and around England and Scotland.

This bespoke design development is a testament to our technical capabilities. If you or your business believes they could benefit from our services, get in touch!
