Juliet’s are deigned to let in air and light, transforming full length windows or French doors (usually of upper floors) into balconies. Often referred to as a balconette, Juliet’s can be defined as “false balconies” (or railings) at the outer plane of a window-opening, reaching to the floor. When the window/doors are open, the railings offer up the appearance of a balcony – hence the name.
