Wye Juliet Balcony
Our Wye Juliet is a variation of our Derwent design with a contemporary twist.
Simply choose your aperture (brick-to-brick measure) and finish below:
The Wye Juliet is manufactured fully from mild steel. A robust 40x10mm flat frame is complemented by an ergonomic 50 x 13mm convex handrail. Infill bars are 12mm solid square, decoratively set out while meeting the requirements of Building Regulations [maximum gaps of 100mm]. All materials and welding have been signed off by accredited engineers.
Our Juliets are all available to suit standard door/window apertures of 900mm, 1200mm, 1500mm, 1800mm, 2100mm and 2400mm.
The only measurement you need for a Forjj Juliet balcony is the aperture. This is the horizontal measurement of the structural opening you want to cover with a balcony. Order based on this size and we will automatically make the balcony slightly wider (around 350mm [or 1ft] overall) to ensure a secure, safe & suitable fit. We can easily accommodate other sizes - just get in touch!
Every mild steel Juliet is supplied with a hot-dip galvanised pre-treatment as standard (learn why here). You can paint your galvanised balcony using an appropriate paint or we can save you the hard work and factory finish (a process called polyester powder coating) in a choice of 3 popular colours - black, white, or anthracite grey. Read more about coatings here.
A feature strongly recommended by structural engineers, all Forjj Juliets include a minimum of 6 points to anchor to the building rather than 4. This provides fault tolerance for failed fixings and ensures maximum safety. For apertures of 2100mm and above, every Forjj mild steel Juliet includes a bottom central fixing point. Please contact us if you are concerned this could clash with windowsill or other feature and we can offer alternatives.
All Forjj Juliets are 1100mm high and designed and fabricated to fully meet UK Building Regulations; NHBC Technical Guidelines and stringent European CE Regulations. Each balcony has been designed and certified to completely withstand a loading of at least 0.74kN/m. In the unlikely event that you require a higher loading rating, please get in touch for bespoke options. Read more about legal requirements and regulations here.
Don’t worry if you can’t see your design choice, aperture size, or colour in our standard range! Just get in touch as we specialise in bespoke design and fabrication.
